Remembering when my 3rd youngest daughter was born, and coming home from the hospital. I was so tired and exhausted, and how I have to go through all the newborn routine again, waking up in the middle of the night for feedings every two hours. It wasn’t so bad since I had some experience from my two oldest daughters. Well, I thought… “I just have to get through the sleepless nights for couple of weeks or so and I’ll be fine.”
A month later, my baby became very irritable, fussy, and cries for so long it seemed like forever. I would have no sleep at night; every time I try to breastfeed her she would start up crying again and would last for hours. It worried my husband and me that we ended up taking her to the doctors. Sure enough, the doctor told us she has colic and that made it very clear why she was irritable and fussy all the time.
